1- GARMENT COST SHEET

• Excel version, fully formatted to self calculate individual costs per item, total cost, and suggested Retail and Wholesale prices options.
If you do not use a sales rep or showroom, just type '0' on the cells.
• Blank pdf version for those wishing to do the work manually.

This is not your school practice cost sheet, but the REAL DEAL, industry standard cost sheet I use with all my clients. Why is this important? Because most 'basic' cost sheets leave out several items you MUST include in order for you to know accurately how much it is costing you to produce, and price accordingly to make a profit without those 'hidden items' eating into your margin. Trust me on this one, adding only fabric, trims and sewing is a recipe for your business to fail. This form includes a detailed breakdown for each component of the price of a garment, either for domestic or overseas production, so that you can work with the same form, no matter how your business evolves, without much editing.
- Demo/Sample Form included with all sections filled out in detail to help you learn the process and understand:
- How each component gets broken down
- How labor is broken down
- How cost, suggested wholesale and retail mark-ups are calculated in the business.

2 & 3 - TEMPLATE FOR BODY MEASUREMENTS (male & female)

• Measurement Sheet Template (Excel)
• Blank pdf version for those wishing to do the work manually.
• Demo form
Why use this form?:
- Keep all the needed body measurements from your fit model/client/yourself in one place
- Keep them in a standardized and consistent format that helps finding information
- Works as a checklist so that when you are measuring someone you don't forget key points of measurement.
- Explains the industry standard way of taking each measurement.

4- PATTERN CARD TEMPLATE

• Pattern Card Template (Excel)
• Blank pdf version for those wishing to do the work manually.
- 15-Page step-by-step fully illustrated instructions on how to fill out your pattern card like a pro (PDF format file)
- Link to Bonus Free Tutorial Video with further instructions and visuals for those using Excel.
Why use this pattern card over others out there?
As a Fashion Professional, showing a basic understanding of pattern work and standard Industry procedures is key for success...
Not only because 'knowing' will save you valuable time communicating back and forth with your those involved in the process (pattern makers, technical designers, cutters, sewers, etc) but also because a lack of this knowledge will make you seem unprofessional, no matter how committed you are to your brand. The more professional you come across, the more seriously you are taken (and the more willing they are to work with you, and go out of their way to help you when you need extra help)! Stay consistent in the way you present your company (and yourself!).
